The Vegas Golden Knights announced plans for WickFest 2026, a girls hockey festival, to be held from February 5 to 8.
WickFest was founded in 2010 by Hayley Wickenheiser, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, to bring girls together through hockey.
The festival will feature 35 teams and over 600 female athletes from the United States and Canada.
The Golden Knights have promoted female participation in hockey, which has increased by 600% in Nevada since the team joined the NHL.
The team is partnering with the NHL and NHLPA to provide more girls with the chance to compete and grow their hockey skills.
As of June 26, 2026, the Vegas Golden Knights are standing 4th in the Western Conference with a 39-26 record, on a W3 streak, after losing 0-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes on June 15.
The four-day event will include tournament play, clinics, and workshops, where participants can learn special skills and hear from influential women in hockey.
Multiple Olympians, including Hayley Wickenheiser, Meghan Agosta, and Angela James, will attend WickFest.
The festival will conclude on February 8, with the tournament play and clinics coming to an end.
The Vegas Golden Knights are committed to growing the sport of hockey, and WickFest 2026 is another example of their efforts.
